A materially stronger legal/organizational relationship connects Western Futures Fund (WFF) and Way Back PAC. Way Back’s Jan. 14, 2026 FEC Statement of Organization expressly lists Western Futures Fund and checks “Connected Organization.” Federal law and 11 CFR 100.6 define a connected organization as a non-political-committee organization that directly or indirectly establishes, administers or financially supports a political committee; the filing itself does not state which particular support functions WFF performs. A primary FEC Schedule A filed July 30, 2025 records a $125,000 Western Futures Fund receipt by Way Back PAC dated April 29, 2025. Idaho Education News reported in May 2026, citing Federal Election Commission records, that Way Back had received $1,125,000 from Western Futures Fund. Contemporaneous reporting on Way Back’s April 2026 quarterly filing identifies a $1,000,000 WFF contribution as the large additional receipt that produces that total.
