Way Back PAC directly funded Votes Idaho executive director Colin Nash in both 2023 and 2025
Recorded status: OFFICIAL FEC + IDAHO SUNSHINE / ORGANIZATIONAL ROLE VERIFIED. Durable funding/personnel relationship established; direction, earmarking, and unlawful coordination not established.
This is a dated research record. Its qualifications and open questions are part of the account. Association alone does not establish wrongdoing or control.
A newly resolved personnel-to-money edge tightens the Western Futures/Way Back/Votes Idaho topology. Official Idaho Sunshine search results report that Way Back PAC gave $1,000 to Colin Nash's Boise City Council campaign on September 15, 2023. Way Back's federal filing independently reports another $1,000 to COLIN NASH FOR BOISE on September 30, 2025, identified in the memo as “ID - COLIN NASH (BOISE CITY COUNCIL).” Votes Idaho Company's current site and IRS-derived profile identify Colin Nash as executive director. Western Futures Fund—the nonprofit operated day-to-day by the same Blue Moon Strategies/Jonah Meyers infrastructure that runs and is paid by Way Back—reported a $20,000 FY2024 grant to Votes Idaho, while Sixteen Thirty Fund reported $163,000. Thus the documented structure is not merely two unrelated grants: Western Futures financed the Idaho advocacy hub, and its affiliated PAC financed the hub executive director's campaigns in two municipal cycles. This is evidence of a durable organizational/personnel relationship and Idaho field-building. It does not prove that Votes Idaho directed Way Back's candidate contributions, that Nash controlled either national entity, or that any expenditure was coordinated unlawfully.
