Western Futures and Way Back both paid Fireweed Campaigns, creating another shared professional-services node
Recorded status: PRIMARY WFF contractor and primary FEC Way Back payment verified. Shared vendor relationship established; coordination, common strategy and Idaho-target selection are NOT established.
This is a dated research record. Its qualifications and open questions are part of the account. Association alone does not establish wrongdoing or control.
Fireweed Campaigns is a documented professional-services crossline between Western Futures Fund and its connected PAC, Way Back PAC. Western Futures Fund’s FY2024 Form 990 identifies Fireweed Campaigns Inc. of Helena, Montana as an independent contractor paid $107,500 for project management. Way Back PAC’s 2025 year-end FEC Form 3X Schedule B separately reports a $20,000 payment to Fireweed Campaigns, PO Box 87, Helena, Montana, dated November 3, 2025, for “Fundraising Consulting - Non-Contribution Account.” That same Way Back filing also contains strategic-consulting payments to Blue Moon Strategies, while WFF separately identifies Blue Moon as responsible for its day-to-day operations. Fireweed therefore joins Blue Moon as a shared professional-services node linking WFF and Way Back. This is operational overlap, not proof of illegal coordination or proof that Fireweed participated in Way Back’s Idaho payments. No current evidence shows Fireweed selected Defend and Protect Idaho, Hometown Heroes, Idaho First, or specific Idaho candidates on behalf of WFF/Way Back.
