Melanie Folwell directly steers Idahoans United as campaign spending flows heavily to consultants, media and field infrastructure

Idahoans United for Women and Families has an unusually clear public record identifying its Idaho operational decision-maker. In a sworn January 2025 Idaho Supreme Court declaration, executive director Melanie Folwell states that in her role she organizes volunteers, coordinates strategic priorities, manages staff, fundraises, communicates with media, drafts initiative proposals, coalition-builds and travels statewide to recruit volunteers and leaders. The organization’s own current site likewise identifies Folwell as executive director. Current campaign-finance aggregation of Idaho filings reports approximately $867,631 in expenditures, led by $546,967.25 to Campaign Associates LLC, $100,000 to Change Media Group, $48,918.91 to ESP Print and Mail, $30,231.50 to Frame by Frame Productions, $17,127.71 to Scale to Win, $10,296.54 to Fundhero, $9,502 to Meta/Facebook and smaller digital/travel/printing costs. This shows the Idaho committee converting a large fundraising pool into professional campaign, media, mail, digital and field infrastructure. Western Futures Fund’s separately documented $60,000 general-purpose grant and New Venture Fund’s approximately $37,500 grant establish outside institutional support to the organization, but pooled funds and a much larger donor base mean those grants cannot be assigned to Campaign Associates, Change Media Group, signature collection, ads or another specific expense without transaction/restriction evidence.
