About The Fairness Project
The Ballot Initiative Strategy Center (BISC) has profiled Mayville as a campaign leader and in 2024 described Reclaim Idaho among its 'state partners.' In 2025, the Association of Health Care Journalists hosted a ballot-measure session featuring Luke Mayville (then described as Reclaim Idaho executive director) alongside the executive directors of BISC and The Fairness Project.
From Mayville/Reclaim are embedded in national ballot-initiative professional networks (2026-09-15). Recorded status: Verified professional/network affiliations and self-reported CV claims. No control/funding inference from BISC or Democratic Party recognition. This sourced excerpt establishes the research context; it is not a completed biography or identity determination.
More from the published research
Route A: Foundation to Promote Open Society (a separate Open Society philanthropic entity already documented elsewhere) gave Hopewell Fund approximately $28.3M across 13 grants from 2020-2024; Hopewell then funded Unite America Institute, Article IV, The Fairness Project, New Venture Fund, Sixteen Thirty Fund, and Global Impact, all of which sit on separately documented routes into Idaho advocacy/election networks.
The strongest historical Soros-related Idaho claim found traces to 2018-2019 criticism of the Medicaid campaign: contemporaneous Coeur d’Alene Press reporting described SEIU-UHW meeting minutes saying the union had received $500,000 from an Open Societies project for Fairness Project work; Mayville and Reclaim then stated Reclaim itself had received no financial support from The Fairness Project or the union, while acknowledging Fairness Project as a campaign partner that independently paid petitioners.
