Article IV has documented upstream funders; OAFA also funded Fairness Project

Article IV, which directly reported paying $2.22 million to Idahoans for Open Primaries in FY2024, has disclosed institutional grant funding from Our American Future Action ($3.4 million across 2023-2024), Leadership Network ($2.5 million in 2024), Hopewell Fund ($433,000 in 2022), and Democracy Fund Voice ($150,000 in 2023). Our American Future Action in turn received $34.4 million from Open Society Policy Center across 2023-2024, plus large grants from Our American Future Foundation, Bright Future Fund, Long Ridge Action Fund, and Democracy Fund Voice. OAFA's own Schedule I also shows a $1.75 million grant to The Fairness Project and $1.405 million to Article IV in FY2023. The Fairness Project is independently documented as having provided major paid support to Reclaim Idaho's 2018 Medicaid initiative, but this specific OAFA grant came five years later. These facts establish network overlap and upstream funding relationships; they do NOT establish that Open Society or any particular OAFA donor's money was earmarked for Idaho Proposition 1, nor that OAFA's 2023 Fairness Project grant financed Reclaim's 2018 campaign.
