Current 2026 Idahoans United campaign receipts are predominantly Idaho-sourced despite earlier Western Futures support
Recorded status: Current Sunshine-derived campaign-finance totals strongly indicate in-state funding predominance; separate 2024 WFF nonprofit grant remains documented. Do not characterize the 2026 campaign as outside-money dominated.
This is a dated research record. Its qualifications and open questions are part of the account. Association alone does not establish wrongdoing or control.
Current Sunshine-derived campaign-finance tracking materially constrains how the Western Futures→Idahoans United branch should be described. A current tracker built from Idaho Secretary of State Sunshine records reports Idahoans United for Women and Families raising about $1.634 million in 2026, with approximately $1.407 million categorized as in-state and approximately $226,000 as out-of-state, excluding about $1,151 without usable donor geography. Major reported 2026 donors include multiple Idaho individuals and the Moscow-based Bill Parks Charitable Foundation. Separately, Western Futures Fund’s FY2024 grant records report a $60,000 general-purpose grant to Idahoans United. These facts support a narrower conclusion: Western Futures provided documented outside institutional support to the organization, but the current 2026 initiative campaign’s disclosed receipts are predominantly Idaho-sourced rather than primarily funded from outside Idaho. The 2024 WFF grant should not be rhetorically inflated into the dominant source of the 2026 campaign budget absent recipient-side accounting linking that grant into later campaign funds.
