WFF's $1.2M in reported Way Back receipts includes $75,000 of Nebraska in-kind research
Recorded status: Primary FEC records verified; prior interpretation corrected or upgraded; no finding of unlawful coordination.
This is a dated research record. Its qualifications and open questions are part of the account. Association alone does not establish wrongdoing or control.
Correction and primary-source reconciliation, September 18, 2026: Way Back PAC's original electronic filings reproduce three Western Futures Fund receipts in the January 2025–June 2026 reporting period: $125,000 on April 29, 2025 (report 1907288, SA17 transaction 13026685); $1,000,000 on January 13, 2026 (report 1961839, SA17 R-1107416-A); and $75,000 on May 22, 2026 (report 1982527, SA17 R-1357756-A). They total $1,200,000, but the last item is expressly in-kind and earmarked for Lynne Walz's Nebraska governor race. Thus $1.2M must not be described as entirely cash or entirely available for Idaho spending. The first two reported receipts total $1.125M; their memos identify the non-contribution account and do not name Idaho. The $75,000 difference is explained by the separately reported service value, not an additional unexplained cash inflow. Its matching May 22 Schedule B entry D-37075-B describes non-federal in-kind research services and repeats the Nebraska beneficiary. No Western Futures-named receipt was located in the reviewed July 2026 quarterly report 1992038. This supersedes the earlier speculation about reciprocal cash transfers or offsetting amounts. These are filed representations, not bank-record verification or proof that any particular upstream dollars financed Idaho expenditures.
