Western Futures Fund’s FY2024 Form 990 states that Blue Moon Strategies is responsible for WFF’s day-to-day operations. Way Back PAC’s Jan. 14, 2026 FEC Statement of Organization names Western Futures Fund as its Connected Organization and lists Jonah Meyers as assistant treasurer/designated agent. Way Back filings also document recurring Blue Moon strategic-consulting payments. Blue Moon’s current organization/recruiting description adds important operational context: the firm describes itself as providing strategic operations consulting and fractional-COO support to multi-entity advocacy organizations, specifically including 501(c)(3), 501(c)(4), and PAC organizations; a 2026 accounting-manager posting says the role handles daily accounting operations including accounts payable and accounts receivable for Blue Moon clients. That service model closely corresponds to the functions publicly disclosed in the WFF and Way Back records and strengthens the conclusion that Blue Moon supplies back-office/operations infrastructure across advocacy entity types. It does NOT establish that Blue Moon or Jonah Meyers chooses WFF donors, dictates WFF board decisions, selects Idaho recipients or candidates, coordinates independent Idaho PAC spending, or beneficially owns WFF/Way Back. Those control questions remain separate and require governance, contract, earmark, or communication evidence.
