Western Futures Fund’s FY2024 Form 990 identifies a compact governance structure above the separately documented Blue Moon Strategies operating layer. The return reports three voting members of the governing body and three independent voting members. Part VII identifies Michael Hennesy as president, Jeremy Krones as treasurer and Christopher Hirsch as secretary; each reports $0 compensation from Western Futures Fund, and the filing reports no family or business relationships among officers/directors. The organization reported $8.735 million revenue and $7.813 million expenses for FY2024. Its own Part III program descriptions divide its work into three major programs: Civil Society, approximately $3.0 million, described as grants/support for civic organizations keeping the public educated, informed and engaged on public-policy matters; Electoral, approximately $2.9 million, described as leadership-development programs related to potential candidates plus grants to political organizations; and Advocacy, approximately $1.8 million, described as grants/support for organizations educating the public on local, state and national policy issues. Michael Hennesy and Christopher Hirsch remain identity-resolution targets because common-name matches are insufficient; Jeremy Krones has plausible conservation-sector biography matches but should not be merged without a unique cross-identifier.
