Way Back’s current funding scale shows about $1.2M in Western Futures receipts and $650K from Toolbox before major Idaho PAC disbursements
Recorded status: Current FEC summary and FEC-bulk aggregation verified; one $125K WFF row is primary reproduced and WFF connected-organization status is primary verified. Remaining large WFF/Toolbox receipt rows still require raw-row reproduction before transaction-level finality.
This is a dated research record. Its qualifications and open questions are part of the account. Association alone does not establish wrongdoing or control.
Current FEC data materially increases the scale of the Western Futures→Way Back→Idaho route beyond earlier snapshots. The FEC committee overview reports Way Back PAC total receipts of $5,185,803.26 for Jan. 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026. A current FEC-bulk aggregation of itemized large receipts groups Western Futures Fund under two filer/entity classifications: $1,075,000 across two receipts plus a separately classified $125,000 receipt, for approximately $1.2 million in name-matched Western Futures receipts; it separately reports Toolbox at $650,000 across two receipts. A primary FEC Schedule A already reproduces the $125,000 Western Futures receipt dated April 29, 2025, and Way Back’s Jan. 14, 2026 FEC Form 1 identifies Western Futures Fund as its Connected Organization. Idaho Education News had earlier reported, from FEC records available during the May 2026 Idaho primary period, $1.125 million from WFF and $350,000 from Toolbox, indicating the current higher totals reflect a later reporting cutoff and/or additional receipts rather than necessarily conflicting data. On the downstream side, FEC-derived Apr. 1–Jun. 3, 2026 reporting shows Way Back paid $350,000 to Defend and Protect Idaho, $100,000 to Hometown Heroes PAC and $100,000 to Idaho First, alongside a $75,000 payment back to Western Futures Fund. This establishes a high-dollar external funding hub feeding multiple Idaho PACs. It does NOT establish that a particular Western Futures or Toolbox receipt was the same dollar later paid to an Idaho PAC, nor that WFF/Toolbox selected Idaho candidates or messages. Raw FEC reproduction of the remaining large WFF/Toolbox receipt rows is still required for transaction-level reconciliation.
