Sixteen Thirty and GISWF exchanged grants while GISWF separately gave $3M to Western Futures

Global Impact Social Welfare Foundation/Fund (GISWF, EIN 92-0652730) creates another multi-directional relationship around Western Futures Fund. IRS-derived records show Sixteen Thirty Fund gave GISWF approximately $2.3 million in 2023. GISWF separately gave Western Futures Fund $3.0 million across two grants in 2022-2023. IRS-derived records also show GISWF gave Sixteen Thirty Fund approximately $1.8 million across 2023-2024. GISWF itself received much larger funding from Global Impact, approximately $28.1 million across 2022-2024, plus other institutional funders. These records establish real reciprocal Sixteen Thirty↔GISWF organizational grants and a separate GISWF→WFF funding route. They do not establish circular same-dollar recycling, a pass-through arrangement, or that Sixteen Thirty’s $2.3M to GISWF funded the $3M WFF grants. The timing overlaps only partly, both entities pool funds, and transaction-level restrictions/earmarks would be needed to make a same-dollar claim.
