Hopewell→Global Impact→GISWF creates another upstream organizational route toward WFF, with reciprocal grants requiring caution

IRS-derived grant records add a higher upstream organizational route into the Global Impact Social Welfare Foundation/Western Futures branch. Hopewell Fund gave Global Impact (EIN 52-1273585, the separate 501(c)(3) intermediary organization) about $19.5 million across reported 2020–2024 grants. Global Impact's FY2023 filing reports a $13.35 million grant to the distinct Global Impact Social Welfare Foundation (GISWF, EIN 92-0652730). GISWF separately gave Western Futures Fund $3.0 million across 2022–2023 and later funded Contours Inc. $6.62 million in FY2024, with Contours becoming a WFF funder in 2025. Global Impact also made about $650,000 in grants back to Hopewell across 2022–2024, creating a reciprocal organization-to-organization funding relationship at that higher layer. These records establish grant relationships, not same-dollar circulation: fiscal periods differ, both organizations have large multi-source budgets and grant portfolios, and nothing reviewed traces a particular Hopewell dollar through Global Impact/GISWF into WFF or Idaho. Preserve the entities separately: Global Impact (EIN 52-1273585) is not the same legal organization as Global Impact Social Welfare Foundation (EIN 92-0652730).
