Western Futures Fund’s primary IRS Schedule I describes an ongoing grant-oversight system rather than a write-check-and-disengage model. In response to Schedule I Part I line 2, WFF states that, to ensure compliance with all grant conditions, it uses a combination of written and verbal reports plus ongoing monitoring and interaction with grantees, with regular updates depending on the amount and term of the grant. WFF has direct documented Idaho grants including Votes Idaho ($486,750 in 2022, $55,000 in 2023 and $20,000 in 2024; approximately $562K total), Conservation Voters for Idaho ($145,000 in 2023), and Idahoans United for Women and Families ($60,000 in 2024). This establishes that WFF retains an ongoing monitoring/compliance relationship over its grant portfolio and that Idaho recipients fall within a grantmaking system that uses conditions, reports and interaction. It does NOT reveal the actual grant agreements or conditions for these Idaho recipients, prove that WFF dictated their candidate endorsements, legislative positions, ballot strategy, vendors or communications, or establish that every grantee was monitored with identical frequency. The specific Idaho grant letters/restrictions/reporting requirements are now a high-value document target.
