Sixteen Thirty funded Sheriff Accountability Action, which later granted $30K to Western Futures
Recorded status: IRS-derived organization-to-organization grants verified; no same-dollar pass-through or WFF earmark is established.
This is a dated research record. Its qualifications and open questions are part of the account. Association alone does not establish wrongdoing or control.
A further organizational route links Sixteen Thirty Fund to Western Futures Fund through Sheriff Accountability Action (also operating as Sheriffs for Trusting Communities). IRS-derived records report a $700,000 Sixteen Thirty Fund grant to Sheriff Accountability Action in 2022 for civil rights/social action/advocacy. Western Futures Fund’s FY2024 funding records separately report a $30,000 grant from Sheriff Accountability Action. Sheriff Accountability Action has multiple other funders and multi-year revenue, so these transactions establish organizational connectivity but not that Sixteen Thirty’s 2022 dollars were held or passed onward to WFF in 2024. This route should therefore be mapped as a separate institutional edge, not added as same-dollar Sixteen Thirty→WFF funding.
