About Bruce Newcomb
Bruce Newcomb is listed on Take Back Idaho's board. Idahoans for Open Primaries' own site lists him as campaign treasurer. In a November 2024 guest column, Newcomb wrote that Proposition 1 began at a dinner conversation involving him, his wife, and Zeke and AnnMarie Johnson, after which they connected with grassroots leaders and launched Idahoans for Open Primaries in May 2023. Luke Mayville separately described Newcomb as one of the founders of the campaign. This creates a verified personnel/formation bridge between Take Back Idaho and the Proposition 1 coalition. It does not by itself establish that Take Back Idaho funded, controlled, or coordinated with Reclaim Idaho.
