Unite America donor records connect Nunnelly, Dupré and Carroll to a national election-reform network that also funds Idaho
Recorded status: Official APOC verifies Nunnelly and Dupré each gave Unite America $125K in 2024; current reporting documents Carroll's large Unite America giving and Unite America's Idaho role. Idaho earmarking or donor control is not established.
This is a dated research record. Its qualifications and open questions are part of the account. Association alone does not establish wrongdoing or control.
A donor-level crossline around Unite America can now be documented without relying on the unresolved 'Toolbox' identity claim. An official Alaska Public Offices Commission disclosure filed June 10, 2026 by Unite America PAC identifies Mark Nunnelly and Denise Dupré as direct true-source donors of $125,000 each on June 25, 2024. The same filing provides a long donor list supporting Unite America's Alaska spending. Separately, current Montana reporting based on campaign-finance records says Hudson River Trading founder Jason Carroll gave a combined $1.7 million to Unite America PAC in 2024 and 2025; the same reporting identifies Carroll as the sole contributor to American Values Project PAC, which in turn funded Progressive Vet PAC in Montana. Inside Elections likewise reports Carroll as a major donor to other 2026 independent-candidate PAC activity. Unite America is independently documented as a major election-reform organization and has also appeared as a major out-of-state contributor to Defend and Protect Idaho in current 2026 Idaho reporting. These facts establish that Nunnelly, Dupré and Carroll are identifiable individual donors inside the Unite America network, and that Unite America itself has an Idaho-facing funding role. This is useful because it creates a donor-level route that does not require equating the IRS-registered Toolbox 527 with Nunnelly/Dupré's separate Toolbox Holdings/Foundation. It does NOT establish that Nunnelly, Dupré or Carroll earmarked their Unite America donations for Idaho, that they selected any Idaho candidate or PAC expenditure, or that their other political giving was coordinated with Unite America's Idaho activity. The exact current-cycle Unite America→Defend and Protect Idaho transaction amount should still be reproduced from Idaho Sunshine rather than inferred from secondary accounts; one partisan Idaho outlet reports $100,000, but that amount is not upgraded here without the underlying state transaction row.
