Save Our Schools founders bridge directly to Take Back Idaho

Idaho Education News reports that Save Our Schools Idaho was founded in 2023 by a small group including former Weiser superintendent Wil Overgaard and former superintendent Geoff Thomas. Take Back Idaho's own Dec. 12, 2021 founding announcement identifies Wil Overgaard as a member of its newly formed committee, and Take Back Idaho's current board page lists Geoff Thomas among its directors. Separately documented research shows Reclaim Idaho's Luke Mayville and team publicly campaigned on behalf of Save Our Schools Idaho in 2025. This establishes a direct personnel/operational chain: Take Back Idaho↔Save Our Schools Idaho via Overgaard/Thomas, and Save Our Schools Idaho↔Reclaim Idaho via public campaign activity. It does not establish that Take Back Idaho controls SOSI or Reclaim, or that the three organizations share finances.
