Movement Voter Project's official September 9, 2026 grantmaking strategy describes MVP as a 'mutual fund for political giving' that raises donor money and channels it to organizations doing year-round organizing, electoral work and advocacy. The current strategy identifies three pillars: expanding local organizing, scaling new media, and 'Embolden Democrats.' A September 10, 2026 release from affiliated Movement Voter PAC announced a $50 million commitment through 2028 to reform the Democratic Party and invest in Democratic-aligned organizing groups. MVP also says its role is as funder, capacity builder and catalyst for collaboration rather than directly running local campaigns.
