Defend's disclosed Redbird allocations were 74.5% opposition; Hulsen allocations were all support, with candidate overlap
Recorded status: Verified arithmetic from preserved official CSV; reported allocations are not audited bank payments or ad-content verification
This is a dated research record. Its qualifications and open questions are part of the account. Association alone does not establish wrongdoing or control.
Scope: only Defend and Protect Idaho's transactions to Redbird Strategies and Hulsen Media Services LLC in the official 2026 Expenditures CSV downloaded September 17. Source snapshot SHA256 b06d0cfbf358b6463309b015c35a65cdf106ff142a118591d438bf5b05fee9c1 was rechecked unchanged. Treat the repeated Transaction Amount on candidate rows as non-additive; vendor totals deduplicate by Transaction Id, while candidate totals sum populated Amount Applied rows. Redbird: $587,852 reported across 15 distinct transactions, including $30,000 July management services without candidate allocations. Populated candidate allocations total $557,322.42: $415,202.92 Oppose and $142,119.50 Support. Opposition is 74.4996% of the candidate-allocated amount, NOT of all vendor payments. Remaining ad-transaction reconciliation differences total $529.58; do not silently force candidate sums to vendor totals. Hulsen: $95,414 across 3 distinct transactions, $95,413.99 allocated, all Support (one-cent rounding difference).
Redbird opposition totals by candidate: Daniel David Foreman $89,364.72; Josh Keyser $61,540.22; Christy Zito $56,415.22; Barbara Ehardt $41,782.72; Julianne Young $34,782.72; Glenneda Zuiderveld $34,274.22; Joshua Luke Kohl $30,274.22; David Worley $20,078.00; David James Leavitt $14,422.72; Clint Hostetler $12,422.72; Scott Herndon $12,272.72; Elaine Price $6,572.72; Chad Christensen $1,000.00. These include both separately reported $110,000 transaction IDs; they do not independently establish two settled bank payments.
The vendors' roles are not a clean support-versus-opposition split. Both have Support allocations for Brent David Reinke and Casey Hunter Swensen. Reinke: Redbird $3,568.62 (IDs 383320,383994), Hulsen $8,577.11 (383322). Swensen: Redbird $4,443.62 (383320,383994,383997), Hulsen $8,577.11 (383322). Those candidate names are consistent with the REINKESWEN fragment on KSNQ invoice 6601147-1, but neither the specific ad's message/stance nor its parent vendor invoice is established by this consistency. No new beneficial owner of Idaho Redbird, Redbird-to-Hulsen transfer, Cothren connection, candidate coordination or unlawful conduct was established.
