WinAg donors and the IACI network: Simplot, Bayer and Amalgamated Sugar
Recorded status: Primary official portal transcription; historical and current data distinguished.
This is a dated research record. Its qualifications and open questions are part of the account. Association alone does not establish wrongdoing or control.
WinAg reports $20,000 from Simplot across 2024 and 2025. IACI's current board lists Ken Dey of J.R. Simplot, Christina Hardesty of Amalgamated Sugar and Dean Talley of Bayer US. Separately, WinAg reports $5,000 from Amalgamated Sugar Company PAC and $40,000 from Far West Agribusiness Association. FWAA's current board and membership include Bayer and Simplot.
A four-edge route supported by official pages is: WinAg receives Simplot money; IACI identifies Ken Dey as a Simplot executive; Dey serves on IACI's board; IACI operates Idaho Prosperity Fund. This shows overlapping company and political-association channels. It does not prove IACI directed Simplot's contribution or that WinAg and Idaho Prosperity Fund coordinated expenditures.
The shared sector interests can be investigated concretely through legislative positions, contracts, bills and candidate support. A corporate board affiliation alone does not establish a particular member's approval of each political transaction. The current board snapshot is not a verified 2024 roster.
