Original FEC rows date $550,000 from Way Back to three Idaho PACs
Recorded status: Primary FEC records verified; prior interpretation corrected or upgraded; no finding of unlawful coordination.
This is a dated research record. Its qualifications and open questions are part of the account. Association alone does not establish wrongdoing or control.
Primary-source upgrade, September 18, 2026: Way Back PAC's original pre-primary FEC report 1982527, filed June 11 for April 1–June 3, reports five Schedule B line 29 transactions totaling $550,000 to three Idaho committees. Hometown Heroes PAC: $100,000 on April 30, 2026, D-35622-B (PDF page 30). Idaho First: $100,000 on May 4, D-36049-B (page 30). Defend and Protect Idaho: $100,000 on May 5, D-36052-B; $150,000 on May 7, D-36055-B; and $100,000 on May 15, D-36059-B (pages 26–27), totaling $350,000. All five describe a contribution to a non-federal committee from the non-contribution account. The original electronic records and corresponding PDF text were inspected, upgrading earlier payee aggregation with dates and transaction identifiers. These records establish Way Back's direct funding of all three committees. They do not identify instructions for particular Idaho candidates, messages, advertisements or shared approval. The report's separate $75,000 Western Futures in-kind research item explicitly names Lynne Walz in Nebraska; that earmark must not be applied to these Idaho transactions. Earlier secondary reporting of Gary Raney's contact with Way Back remains a separate source-supported claim; this filing alone does not establish what was discussed. Donor-receipt tracing for this report uses Schedule A line 17, while these payments use Schedule B line 29; an earlier reference to Schedule H should not guide this specific lookup. Next useful evidence: grant terms, instructions and recipient-side records explaining the purpose and decision authority behind these five transfers.
