Prop 1 national funding nodes reappear in Idaho's 2026 legislative primary network
Recorded status: Verified recurrence of Way Back PAC, Article IV and Unite America PAC as Idaho funders in 2026. No Reclaim-to-Defend-and-Protect organizational connection established.
This is a dated research record. Its qualifications and open questions are part of the account. Association alone does not establish wrongdoing or control.
In Idaho's 2026 primary cycle, reporting based on Idaho campaign-finance data identified Way Back PAC, Article IV and Unite America PAC—the same three major national funding nodes in the 2024 Proposition 1 campaign—as among the largest out-of-state contributors to Defend and Protect Idaho. Defend and Protect Idaho, led by former Ada County Sheriff Gary Raney, spent more than $752,800 supporting 23 Republican primary candidates and opposing 14 others. Idaho Education News reported Way Back PAC alone contributed $350,000 in 2026. Idaho Capital Sun further described Defend and Protect Idaho as part of an interwoven web of Idaho PACs contributing to each other. This is a crossline connection showing persistence of the same national funding nodes in Idaho politics after Prop 1; it does not establish that Reclaim Idaho controls, coordinates with, or participates in Defend and Protect Idaho.
