Sixteen Thirty directly funded multi-state Planned Parenthood Alliance Advocates while it engaged in Idaho elections and legislative advocacy
Recorded status: PRIMARY $550K grant plus recipient Idaho electoral/lobbying mission verified. Idaho earmarking and transaction-level pass-through to Idaho PAC/candidate activity NOT established.
This is a dated research record. Its qualifications and open questions are part of the account. Association alone does not establish wrongdoing or control.
Sixteen Thirty Fund’s primary FY2022 Schedule I reports a $550,000 grant to Planned Parenthood Alliance Advocates (PPAA), EIN 94-3168114, for civil rights, social action and advocacy. PPAA is the multi-state 501(c)(4) political/advocacy organization serving Alaska, Hawaii, Idaho, Indiana, Kentucky and Washington. Its own filings describe program activities that include voter engagement and education, candidate endorsements/electoral activity through independent expenditures or coordinated activities, and lobbying to advance proactive sexual/reproductive-health legislation and defeat opposing legislation in Idaho and its other service states. In Idaho during the 2022 cycle, PPAA publicly endorsed state candidates, while Planned Parenthood Votes Idaho PAC participated in Idaho election spending; contemporaneous Idaho reporting identifies Planned Parenthood Alliance Advocates as an endorser of Idaho candidates and reports Planned Parenthood Votes Idaho PAC contributing $22,000 to Idaho Liberty Defense, which spent against several Idaho legislative candidates. PPAA’s FY2022 filing reported about $4.36M total revenue and $2.06M in contributions/grants. This establishes a direct Sixteen Thirty→PPAA financial relationship in a year when the recipient’s legal/operational mission included Idaho electoral and legislative-policy advocacy. It does NOT establish that the $550,000 grant was earmarked for Idaho rather than other states, that Sixteen Thirty selected Idaho candidates or legislation, or that Sixteen Thirty money funded a particular Idaho PAC expenditure.
