Cindy Wilson personally gathered signatures and spoke to volunteers for Idaho Open Primaries through MWEG
Recorded status: Verified operational/public-advocacy role from contemporaneous reporting. Campaign-wide strategic control and any Idaho Solutions organizational role in Prop 1 remain unproved.
This is a dated research record. Its qualifications and open questions are part of the account. Association alone does not establish wrongdoing or control.
Cindy Wilson’s connection to Idahoans for Open Primaries is stronger than coalition proximity alone. Idaho Capital Sun reporting from October 2023 identifies Wilson, acting with Mormon Women for Ethical Government, as personally gathering signatures for the Open Primaries initiative in Meridian and quotes her explaining why she was supporting the initiative through MWEG. Associated Press imagery/reporting from April 2024 likewise identifies Wilson with MWEG speaking to volunteers supporting the Idaho open-primaries initiative at an Ivywild Park gathering in Boise. This establishes direct operational/public-advocacy participation by Wilson in the initiative drive, beyond merely serving as MWEG’s Idaho director or later sitting on Idaho Solutions boards. It does NOT establish that Wilson directed the overall Proposition 1 campaign, controlled Idahoans for Open Primaries, or acted on behalf of Idaho Solutions in the initiative campaign.
