Former Obama White House official Raul Alvillar chaired Sixteen Thirty Fund during direct Idaho grantmaking
Recorded status: PRIMARY VERIFIED governance plus Idaho grants. Former-administration personnel link established; Obama administration/federal funding or direction is NOT established.
This is a dated research record. Its qualifications and open questions are part of the account. Association alone does not establish wrongdoing or control.
A direct former-Obama-administration governance link exists at Sixteen Thirty Fund during years in which the fund made direct Idaho grants. The Obama White House archive identifies Raul Alvillar as an Associate Director for Public Engagement. Harvard's Institute of Politics biography states that Alvillar worked on Barack Obama's 2007 presidential campaign, served in several Obama administration roles including Associate Director of the White House Office of Public Engagement, and as of Fall 2022 served as chair of the Sixteen Thirty Fund board. Sixteen Thirty Fund's primary 2021 Form 990 lists Alvillar as board chair as of June 2021, while that same filing reports direct grants of $495,000 to Idaho Values First Foundation Inc. and $60,000 to Conservation Voters for Idaho Inc. Its primary 2024 filing lists Alvillar as chair through July 15, 2024 and reports a $163,000 grant to Votes Idaho. This establishes that a former Obama White House official chaired the national funding organization while it directly funded Idaho advocacy organizations. It does NOT establish that the Obama administration, President Obama, the federal government, or an Obama campaign supplied or directed those grant dollars. The defensible claim is former-Obama-administration personnel governance of a funder with direct Idaho grantmaking—not 'Obama administration money' absent separate funding evidence.
