Sixteen Thirty reported about $338.4M in political-campaign expenditures from 2020 through 2024

Sixteen Thirty Fund’s own Schedule C filings establish that it is not only an issue-advocacy grantmaker/fiscal sponsor; it also reported very large amounts of direct and indirect political-campaign activity under federal tax reporting rules. Primary filings report political-campaign activity expenditures of $167,053,525 in 2020, $13,860,361 in 2021, $66,401,198 in 2022, $13,080,029 in 2023, and $78,008,755 in 2024. Those five annual figures sum to $338,403,868. In 2024 specifically, Schedule C reports $15,313,455 directly expended by Sixteen Thirty for section 527 exempt-function activity and $62,695,300 contributed to other organizations for section 527 exempt-function activity. Named 2024 recipients include Your Community PAC ($6.695M), Future Forward USA PAC ($3.0M), Retire Career Politicians ($2.0M), Civic Truth Action ($1.9M), House Majority PAC ($1.85M), SMP ($1.25M), Mainstream Colorado Fund ($860K), Rocky Mountain Values PAC ($600K), CFFE PAC ($500K), Open Democracy PAC ($500K), Straight Talk Politics PAC ($450K), Planned Parenthood Votes ($200K), and others. The 2020 filing similarly reports $3,227,842 directly expended and $163,825,683 contributed to other organizations for section 527 exempt-function activities. These are Sixteen Thirty’s own tax-reported political-campaign expenditures, distinct from its much larger Schedule I grantmaking and fiscal-sponsorship operations. This establishes three separable functions inside the same legal entity: sponsored-project/operational infrastructure, social-welfare/issue-advocacy grantmaking, and reportable political-campaign activity. It does NOT establish that every Sixteen Thirty grant is political, that its Idaho grants were included in Schedule C, or that upstream donors earmarked funds for any particular political expenditure.
