KIVI broadcast-buy records coincide with first $110,000 Redbird payment

KIVI-TV’s 2026 FCC political file contains a Defend and Protect Idaho folder under Non-Candidate Issue Ads. The station uploaded two documents at 2:42 p.m. on May 8, 2026: “KIVI Defend-and-Protect-Idaho-Political-PFD-05-08-2026” and “NAB DEFEND PROTECT IDAHO.” May 8 is also the date Defend and Protect Idaho reported a $110,000 payment to Redbird Strategies for category B broadcast advertising. This establishes a specific broadcast purchase artifact on the same date and gives a direct route to the agency/media-buyer identity, contact data, placement dates and amount. The FCC download endpoint returned Access Denied during this research pass, so the document contents are not yet verified. Same-day timing does not by itself prove Redbird placed this KIVI buy.
