Guthrie race gives a transaction-level convergence point for IACI, Little and the WFF/Way Back lane

Contemporaneous May 14, 2026 Idaho Education News reporting provides a transaction-level example where separate Idaho establishment/business and WFF/Way Back-linked structures converged on the same legislative race. In the District 28 Senate primary, Idaho Prosperity Fund, which is aligned with the Idaho Association of Commerce and Industry, had spent $72,392 supporting Sen. Jim Guthrie as of May 14; Idaho Liberty PAC had spent $72,771 supporting Guthrie and $35,114 opposing David Worley. Defend and Protect Idaho, the Idaho PAC later documented as receiving $350K from Way Back PAC in 2026, had spent $20,078 opposing Worley by that date and also supported Guthrie. The same report says Gov. Brad Little, Lt. Gov. Scott Bedke, Superintendent Debbie Critchfield, Secretary of State Phil McGrane and Controller Brandon Woolf endorsed Guthrie, while Attorney General Raul Labrador endorsed Worley. This establishes candidate-level convergence among IACI's election arm, a Little-associated political lane, and the WFF/Way Back-funded Defend and Protect lane. It does NOT establish coordination among the PACs, the Governor, IACI or Way Back, and independent expenditures may not legally be coordinated with candidate campaigns.
